Another Hood Fireworks Classic. Another Hood Fireworks classic.

Yes, yes, yes. It's the podcast. Be back, y'all with another one. It's been a long time coming, but we hear y'all. We back in action. You already know what it is. Yay. We glad to have y'all with us rocking out with the Med Locks. You already know what it is. We gonna start with the guests, the co-host to my left. We got King Town, the building. Some guys got to be backed. Yes, sir. To my right. We got Toya old boy in the building. Hey,

Another Hood Fireworks classic.

Yeah. Yeah. So we got some topics, y'all, you know what I'm saying? First and foremost, I just want to kind of get, get a little gauge of how everybody's week has been going. So like this has been one of the most craziest weeks this year so far. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. It has <laugh>. So for those of y'all, I'm gonna let y'all know first and foremost that this was my pop's birthday week. His birthday was March 22nd. So happy belated birthday to my pop. She already know what it is. Yes, yes, yes. Shout out the pops. But on another note,
We gotta handle with the want, want because mm-hmm. <Affirmative> today is Friday. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> March 25th, fourth, excuse me, 24th. But this episode, and I had to put out a missing person report on him because he literally was missing since Tuesday. So check this out, y'all. I actually text this man on his birthday. My family, my sister, everybody text this man on his birthday. Nobody got a response. So we just like, that's very, very, very alarming. Following day comes still no sign. The phone's going straight to voicemail. It's crazy. We like, what in the world is going on Now we kind of, the antenna is really up, but we didn't hit the panic button. And then Friday came and then we just like, yo <laugh>, this is wicked. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. So we had to, we had to put the missing person out. And then lo and behold, surprise motherfucker, he was at the crib the whole time. <Laugh>. Now granted people, people might say, oh, Richard, like he was at the crib, the whole of, of course stay as a gentleman. I went to the house, I went, I went in to check on him. I put a note on the door and everything, but he wasn't there.

But he couldn't be there. Yeah, that's what I was about to say. He couldn't have been there yesterday. He must have been there today, but yesterday when we went, he was not there.

Sure wasn't sure wasn't one. But that just gives you a brief synopsis of my week in the sense of my emotions going rollercoaster. What about y'all? How was y'all week?

Pretty good. I know March Madness is upon us, may I say this much? Madness is no, unlike other cuz the number one team just losing to number 15, number 14 teams. So, wow. March Madness is madness. So

The 15th team is is is in the e like eight right now.

So yeah, the number one teams is losing Duke lost Alabama, Houston.

That's pretty cool. And then in the women's n i t tournament was a player from the Memphis Women's team. She, I guess snuffed one of the players from the Bowling Green team laid it out. From what I had seen. That was pretty crazy. But yeah, shout out to everybody that's a student athlete. I remember those days in high school. I didn't make it to college to do that, but yeah. What about your week?

It was a long week. Very long. Today was the worst. Oh wow. Of the whole week. I mean, it is what it is. I made it period.

You made it through.

Yeah.

That's what up?

Mm-Hmm.

<Affirmative>. That's all we could ask for.

Yeah.

So glad everybody's with us, you know what I'm saying? On the check-in, on the check-in. Shout to y'all out there in, in, in the audience listening to us. We appreciate everybody. We got a few topics to talk about today. You already know what it is. We going get right to it.

You already know the Vibes. This is your boy Aino Red stop. What you doing right now? You heard tune into the Medlock podcast?

Yeah. So first and foremost we got 6 9, 6 9. The rat, the snitch, the one who took down the whole nine trey gang. Most a couple of them. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> he got his ass whooped. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. It was at a LA Fitness. The man got caught slipping and all I did, I was scrolling on the Gram and I just happened to see his face <laugh> and I just seen the really lump lumps in the blood. And he looked like he looked like that Martin show when he got lumped up by Tommy Herns. Yeah, it was, it was, it was crazy. It was crazy. What you think about that? Like so six nine you thought that was real or you thought that was fake? You thought that was staged?

I want to say it was staged.

That's interesting that you say that was staged

Because he's an intimate person. This reminds me of Juicy Smaller, I don't know how you say his name, that character from Empire, he allegedly paid people to beat him up. And I feel like six nine paid those people to beat him up for like internet purposes or viewers just to to keep Trollings. I think it was staged.

Wow. I honestly did not think you would say that. You thought it was staged. What about you? You thought it was staged?

Well, I actually didn't see it until just right now. And I don't know, these guys look a little suspect If this is the right video that I'm looking at some bald head guys.

Yeah. I mean I, I I look at it as, I don't know. I mean, I don't know.

It look real. I mean, is it this the right this the right video. Right.

He really, he really getting, he

Really getting, he got beat up. He got beat up for sure. Well, at the end of the day, you know, whatever you do always comes back. And a lot of people was after him anyway, so he just unfortunately got, he was got caught slipping.

So right now you can't say for for certain if you think it was fake or real.

Oh no, I think it's real. I think it's real.

So we got one fake, one real. I I feel like I'm 50 50. I feel like it's more real than fake though. But it's weird.

But the only reason why I'm looking at this video Right, right now and looking at the guy, I mean like one guy, he real look real old. Not like old, but he, I mean he got gray hair. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, I, I mean, I don't understand what he would want. What, I don't know how old this kid is. Probably like, what, 25 or something. I don't know. Why would he wanna beat him up for

Say, like why would a older cat even

Really care about Yeah. Like be involved? It seems like, in my opinion was you would think it would've been more so young kids get, you know, beating up on him. But these guys, well, I know one guy, he was like old like probably about 58.

Oh damn. 60 50

<Laugh>. He probably like, he looked like he at least in his fifties though. And I mean, I don't know what would he, what he got beef with him for. But I mean, hey, when you a snitch, you a snitch. And who, depending on who he told on or who the people he snitched or whatever, I mean, he might be part of, they, they, they click. So who knows? But I think it's real though. I still think it's real.

Wow. I mean he had on a bubble coat in the gym.

Mm-Hmm.

<Affirmative>, you know what I'm saying? With some pompom shorts on

<Laugh>.

So maybe he, you know what I'm saying? He was coming in for, I don't know man, but I do know real lumps. Is there real blood? Is there, he really got kicked. Oh yeah. And I know that that part was real, so mm-hmm. Whether it was staged or not, he really got them, them blows. Yeah. He did what I'm saying. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> that that's just what it is. Six nine got what was coming to him. He lucky he did not get killed. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. He just got a little, and that wasn't like a real beat down. Cause I done seen fights on just like regular Instagram people just getting it on where they really, really get it popping and they ain't really do him dirty. Like they, they they really could have.

Yeah.

What you got?

Mm. This tells me wow. When you talk, when you throw like gang signs, I guess when you talk gang to talk, I guess, but be careful who you talk because some people is really about their life and it shows me any, you can get jumped anywhere. Actually I didn't expect you can get jumped at the gym, the house, your park, anywhere at school. You can get jumped anywhere.

Yeah. When I was young, they had a gang called a b G and it was called anybody Get It. And I remember when I was younger as well, I remember Mank, shout out to Brooklyn, you already know he used to be like bang, bang anywhere gang. And that's just what it is. Like if you really about that life, it's like wherever, wherever you at, if you really want to turn up with somebody, see a op, it's, it's wherever some people, you know, really, really do do that. You know what I'm saying? But mm-hmm. That's what that is. Six, nine got his ass beat. He sure did. It is what it is. He looked like Willie Lump, lump and he probably got a few more ass whoopers on the way. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. So that's just what it is.

Yeah.

This lifetime, the chosen one, you are now tuning to the Madlock podcast Lee.

Yeah. Yeah. So in other news, I ran across very famous, very presentable, nice actress.

Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>,

Sheryl Lee, Ralph.

Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, she just sung at the Super Bowl. The national black Anthem.

Yes. She

Did. This lifetime, the chosen one, you are now tune into the Madlock podcast

Lee. She did. She did. And with that being said, I would like to say that this particular topic is touchy for me because I feel like you never know what happens to people no matter what they status is in America. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, she's a famous actress mm-hmm. <Affirmative>. And that happens in that world a lot. And pretty much the story goes is she has been sexually assaulted by a famous TV judge. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> you can speculate who it was, but just that alone and it being a law, a lawful person, a person that's on the, the the, the team of law and holding people accountable and bringing justice to people is the actual person doing this. Right. I mean, it's not surprising, but it does let me know that nobody's exempt from doing this type of thing and nobody's exempt from it being done too.
Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> when it comes to sexual harassment though, she, she pretty much, the story goes, she was at a dinner table mm-hmm. <Affirmative> and she pretty much told the everybody at the table, she brought it up and they all kind of like, gave her backlash. Like, why you, why would you bring this up at this time? You know, when she, when when it happened, the TV producers that was there was like, you know don't say nothing, keep it on a hush, but she's coming out and saying it now. Okay. So my, my question is like,

This happened then, or you saying that she was at dinner recently?

No. So it happened and at some point in time and then after that. Okay. She mentioned it like after it happened, right? I don't know if it was years, but it happened. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> yeah, it was years. It was years prior to her mentioning it actually. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. And she pretty much mentioned it and, and she got the backlash from the people she mentioned it to. But my question I wanted to ask was, when it comes to this topic and women in particular, right? They be like, oh, it's hard for us to come out and say stuff, but also it's like, I, do you feel like she is, what's the proper word? Like, woe is me. Like, you know, like why you want to talk about it now? Like, are you the type of person that feel like, ah, when it happened you need to just go all in just like it happened to you. You need to go give that same energy back at the time. Or you feel like you sympathize with people who hold it in and then they finally talk about it years later?

I think that now in this new year generation, well new year 2023, I think people should just start coming out with it more now. I don't think people should wait. Back then they used to wait and then they, they're waiting till 20, 20, 21, 22, 23 to come out with things that happened way back years and years and year over 20 years ago. And I, in my personal opinion, if it happened 20 years ago and you didn't say nothing, then I don't think people should be punished 20 years later for something that if did, I don't know. All of this is allegedly, but in my opinion, if it happened 20 years ago, you ain't say nothing then why should somebody get punished now for something that they did 20 years ago if you didn't say nothing? Or I don't like when people join the bandwagon of, oh one person come out now 2050 other people wanna come out and say, oh, this happened to me, this happened to me too.
Ne if if it happened to you start standing up, people need to just start standing up and saying something and stop holding things back and letting people get away. Why wait 20 years later to allow somebody to walk around freely and enjoy their life and then 20 years later, oh, now I wanna punish you cuz something you did to me 20 years ago. Mm. I don't, I don't think, I think it should be a, a rule that says after five years if you don't say nothing done, case closed. That's how I feel because it's, I mean, it's a waste of time. It like they did Bill Cosby, look how old Bill Cosby 80 years. 80. Why are y'all even gonna put the man in jail for the time that he went to jail? He owed he was Oh, oh, oh.

Well.

So that's just my opinion. I think, like I said, people just need to start speaking up. Don't hold it back. Don't, don't feel any type of way, you know, just start talking. Don't be afraid.

I I agree with some of that. Some of that.

Okay.

I don't agree with the part that they shouldn't be punished. I feel like they should, if you do something wrong, you should be punished. Mm-Hmm.

<Affirmative>.

But I do feel like if they do create a law where it's like if you don't say nothing, then they won't get punished. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>. I do feel like it will make people speak up when it happens. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> because like, damn, if I don't speak up then this person's never going to never gonna be held to, to the fire for what they've done to me.

Right. But then my think

Is, I feel like, go ahead,

Sorry to cut you off, but if it's over 20 years ago, how do we know that this really happened? But

I don't know if this don't particular shit was 20 years

Ago though. Well, yeah, yeah. No, I'm not saying it in particular to hers, but I'm just saying in general, we're seeing a lot of these stories coming out mm-hmm. <Affirmative> over 20 years later and now like example r Kelly a lot of it, even though some of his was the recent, within recent years as well. But a lot of that stuff started way back in the nineties. And my thing is, is like I'm not, I, like I said, I, I don't feel like at this point you let them get away with it so many years. That's why I say I feel like what's the point of punishing 'em now? You let 'em get away with it all this time instead of saying something and getting the handle at that

Time. You, a lot of, lot of activists

Come on now. Talk about bring it on. Because bring it on because why

The victims is going be,

They're not victims. Top to me. Let 'em come because

Upon your head top <laugh>, they're gonna come upon your

Head top. We'll let them, cuz this is my opinion, I'm sticking to it at the end of the day, why am I gonna wait if I feel some type of way and I'm watching you on TV or wherever I'm seeing you at and every day I'm feeling some type of way, why am I gonna sit here and just be in my feelings or feel a type of way? But yeah, I'm letting, watching you live your life and happy and then you possibly doing the same thing if you did it to me to the next person.

What you think Ty,

What toy was saying that was an aha moment? Sexual assault is really real. Sexual harassment is real. Cause there's people I knew well that people that I knew that was sexually assaulted, harassed at the school, like I didn't think it was that crazy. But I feel like if she got sexually assault at the moment, she should have said it at the moment and not wait 20 years or so. And I feel like once it happens you shouldn't be scared to speak up cuz Yeah. I just don't be scared to speak up. Cause on my vision board this says don't be as afraid to speak up. So I feel like if it happens, you should speak up and don't wait 20 years. And if it happens at the moment, say something.

Well why y'all keep going with this 20 years shit though? Well, I'm talking about this story specifically.

Well, let me, let me, okay. Speak

On everything if you want to take it generally. All right, let's, let's let's leave the

Story. Yeah, I'm

Sorry that cause y'all both went 20 years. Like what y'all just making up shit. Well, <laugh>,

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to Well cause a lot of times when these people are coming out now, you know it's been about 15, 20 years ago when a lot of these came out and I don't know her
it's it's called the me too movement.
Oh, the, when this come out. When

Did this come with Bill Cosby? It became the me too movement where everybody's like me too. Having the me too. Me too too.

Me too,

Me too. You know what I'm saying?

And a lot of them, so this is a whole, I

Feel like they be fronting too. You're just the oldest jump on the bandwagon.

Exactly. So we get this bread. Cause I, this is a, so it's kinda whole, this is a, a topic for me that I, I could go really deeper into because I feel like people, it happens if you communicate with somebody and y'all both have the same experience then, you know, speak up then or whatever. But I just, I just don't like how people just keep allowing cuz it happens to women every day are sexually assaulted. Whether it's words by men touching by men. All of us have, I feel like every, there's not 1 1 1 female that has not been sexually assaulted in my honest opinion by a man. So if we're not gonna speak on it when it happens, don't let, I don't like when we allow years and years to keep passing and not saying nothing and decide these years later to say something about it. But in my personal opinion, I feel like every female has been sexually assaulted.

What you think about that Ty? Cuz cuz cuz that's a deep topic because that means your grandmother, your sister, your auntie, every, every female, my sister, my mama, they all been now sexually assaulted. And sexual harassment is two different things. True Assaulted is a physical action. Harassment could be hey Shirley with the fat ass. And you don't and it's not welcoming and you don't want that. Right. That's harassment. I learned that correct from my job. <Laugh> we gotta take that sexual harassment course <laugh>. But anyway but we was talking about harassment. Which,

Which harassment? Yes.

Thanks for clarifying that because I'm thinking wow, that sounds like rape or something but Mm, I believe so because it happens at school every day. This harassment part that happens every day.

So, so so you feel like every woman has been at least minimal sexually harassed, maybe not assaulted, but

Harassed. Yeah. By words. Yeah, definitely. Definitely. It happens every day at my school, at my old school, every, every day. Especially this generation and in the rap musics and all the ants.

I hear you. I hear you. Well you already know what it is. It's the Medlock podcast. We thank y'all for tuning in. You already know we support a lot of businesses and a lot of businesses support us. So we want y'all to support them as well. We're gonna get on with the show and we be back after this. Check this out. Check this out. You want to get that line up sharpened, you want to get that fade popping or you just need that fresh cut for the weekend high at H three Dimensions Barbershop. Tell him lock sent. He gonna roll out the red carpet for you. That's H three Dimensions Barbershop located on 12 4 40 Oxford Park Drive. That's 12 4 40 Oxford Park Drive right out here in Houston. Y'all Yes sir. You already know what it is. It's the Med Locks podcast and we all bad shout out to Three Dimensions Barbershop.
You already know what it is. Go get laced up out here in Houston, Texas. So we out here and we just, you know, saying vibing, it's a Friday night. This is what we do. We happy that y'all staying in tune with us cuz we appreciate all y'all support. So with that being said, I'm a big, big, big, big huge Boxings fan. <Affirmative>. Tomorrow we have a a a an amazing clash. Amazing clash of two great fighters, two fighters who have been champions. One being Caleb Plant white guy. He was a champion who lost to the very, very top guy future hall of Famer named Canelo Alvarez outta Mexico. Now he's going against another Mexican. His name is David Benavidez. So the story goes, David Benavidez right now is the champion. Mm-Hmm <affirmative> of this weight class. And he has the belt, he has one of, one of the belts.
Mm-Hmm <affirmative>. If Kayla plant, whoever wins this fight will have the undeniable opportunity to fight Canelo Alvarez, who's the top, top dog. Mm-Hmm <affirmative>. I can go with the detail about how the whole, how this thing works with belts and how you can have two champions and one weight class and all that. But that's another story. We just going to talk about this, this fight and, and we gonna give a predictions and that'd be that. So my prediction is David, Ben is one of those type of fighters that just keep coming at you all day. Strong. Like a Mack truck. He gonna keep coming. He gonna keep slugging and slugging. You can throw whatever you want. He gonna run right through it to just keep punching, punching, punching Caleb Plin. Lot more skills. He can move around. He can duck ball, weave, jab, dipping move.
You know what I'm saying? All that room round, the ring. So we got a puncher with versus what they call a boxer. Somebody is boxing And I feel like Benavidez can, if he hits him with, if he, if he start landing on him, he, he gonna put him to sleep but also feel like if, if he doesn't, if he's unable to put him to sleep and Caleb playing is able to just stick and move and dip and dodge and weave and just keep tagging him and keep getting out the way. He gonna score enough points for the judges to where if you know they gonna say okay well he won cuz he almost did that to Canelo. To Canelo finally just caught him with one at the end of the end of think the 11th round. 12Th round. And he laid him out and he lost. But he was winning that fight. He could have won that fight. Mm-Hmm <affirmative>. So shout out to Caleb Plant. So my final prediction is I'm gonna go with Caleb Plant and the only reason why I'm going with Caleb plant <laugh> is because he brought out my guy Conway, the machine, his last fight.

Fibers classic

You to bring out Conway the machine and you a white boy. You even know who that is. I gotta salute you cuz Conway the machine is like a, a a a real true rapper. Rapper Rapy rap rapper. His, his sound is very new. Yorkish, it's underground in a sense. And it's not mainstream music, not mainstream hip hop, but it's fire. So for him to even be in tune with that and that artist particularly, it's crazy. I don't know. I know you might not be familiar obviously, but you watch boxing with me Honey buns cuz that's you, you support that. Mm-Hmm <affirmative> what about you though, Ty? Let me hear what you got to say. I know you, you, you watch boxing too. I'm just curious about what you, who you think might win this fight. Even if you, you know,

I think David Benita is the Mexican monster. I think Mike Tyson.

Tyson that Mike Tyson called them the Mexican monster. That's right. That's

What he got. David Benita is K and Caleb Plant and round eight.

I mean that's what a lot of people's predicting. So if you read articles, they, that's what they saying

And I think after this he's gonna go after either the Charlo brothers or is gonna go after the Caleb. No, not Caleb plan or the Canelo Avarez. I think so. I got David, Ben, that's k k o and Caleb playing round aids.

That's what's up.
That's a good prediction. I said he keeps coming forward like a truck and that's a great prediction. A lot of professional analysts is saying that that's probably what's possibly gonna happen. So I ain't mad at that prediction at all. I'm gonna be watching it y'all, I'm gonna be looking at Twitter tomorrow. Mm-Hmm <affirmative>. Hope y'all watch it, you know what I'm saying? It's gonna be entertaining and we look forward to seeing what happens during that and that's just what it is. So shout out to Showtime. You got anything you want to chop it up on, on, on a fight what you expect? You just expect the snacks and the food. Tomorrow we gonna make <laugh>, we gonna have a little fight party tomorrow. You know, something like

No. Yeah we are. No, but I just expect it's gonna be a really good fight. I mean, I don't know who's gonna win but whoever wins is gonna be great. So,

And then it's gonna

Be a good fight.

There's fights before that obviously. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> because that's the main Amen. Amen of the last fight. But the fights before that is we got a cat from Brooklyn named Colbert and he got

Chris,

Chris Colbert. Yeah, Chris Colbert. He lost though his last fight to a God that just lost to Tank Davis. So, but he, he cool, you know what I'm saying? I like his style. I'm rooting for him cuz he from the hometown and he said the word nigga doing the press conference. It was hilarious. He was like, if he think he said something like if he think he just going to throw all these jabs and he just gonna get me this nigga bugging. And I was like, wow. And I said, where is he from? I said, he different and come found today. He from Brooklyn. Mm-Hmm. So shout out to the homie Colbert, it's lifetime the chosen one and that's just what it's going to be. <Laugh>. I'm gonna get it right. Don't worry y'all, I'm gonna get it right. I promise you. But before we go into the next topic, y'all, we gonna pay some more bills, we be back. You already know what it is. We appreciate your, your support and y'all go out there and support our sponsors, man. You know what I'm saying? They all black owned and they doing they thing. That's what it's about. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, you already know. You

Already know the vibe. This your boy Aino Red stop. What you doing right now? You heard tune into the Medlock podcast?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we got some good news, man. This, this actually broke today. We got the homie, the big dog from Marcy Prize project. Hallway Slaughterer, pure Coke, copper. Get your order up. Oh, that's my, that's my favorite rapper.

Another Hood Fireworks

Classic. That's my favorite rapper. Jay-Z, Sean Carter, Sean Corey Carter, you know the other half of Beyonce? You dig what I'm saying? It's just been announced that this man has over his net worth is 2.5, right? Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, let me rewind that. I said 2.5 mm-hmm <affirmative> billion with a B Like, like, like big <laugh>, you know what I'm saying? <Laugh> like balling, you know, B like boss <laugh> $2.5 billion net. A black man. We, we, we we living in the time to see someone that looked like us from the gutter like us 2.5 billion just, just without even going in depth to his investments and everything was y'all initial reactions when you just hear Jay-Z worth 2.5 billion without Beyonce. Shit, this is all his shit without her involved. Oh yeah. 2.5 on the zone. What y'all got.

Congratulations to him.

What about you?

Shout out to Jay-Z for that. To be honest, this may seem a little bad, but I don't like his music, but I like his character. For example, I know he used, when he used to, when he was coming out, he used to be into like the jewelry, the big chains. But since he got older he doesn't want all that stuff because he's getting more rich. And a quote I would like the shirt is the goal is to be rich, not look rich.

Amen.

Mm-Hmm. <Affirmative>.

Amen to that. 2.5 billion is a number that's when, when you seen Obama come president, it's like, oh shit, we really could do it even though he half white. But it was like, ah, we still could might, they might let us rock with a grain of salt cuz even Kamala Harris has, you know, been, anyway,

No

Comment. I still don't see nobody a, a pure breed just yet mm-hmm. <Affirmative>, but 2.5 that's really, really, really big. So, so let's, let's go over,

He didn't cut up to Oprah.

That's what I'm saying. So this is what it is, right? So the breakdown goes, he has he had a, he has a stake in Uber that's worth the estimate. 70 million. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, he got the, he got the

It's 2.2, I mean 220 million.

Yeah. Hold on. I ain't finished. So he got 70 million for the Uber. Then he got the cognac, the, the, the, the br the, I don't even know how to say that shit. All I know is his ACEs spade champagne. <Laugh>, you dig on? I'm saying he got the deuce cognac. Matter of fact he does have Kayak. Got the Deuce. I don't particularly like Deuce. It takes like medicine, iron Rock will Deuce, but that's still my guy. How

Much is

He? That's a hundred. He

Doing? Yeah. How much is the champagne?

310.

Okay.

Big ones Tidal. And it's funny because shout out to my man am dot mdot. What's good baby? He, he, he stand by title cause he like, nah, that's ho I'm going ho that's Brooklyn. Forget Apple Music, forget the, I'm going with title and I respect it. But the only difference was at once you buy an apple, it's kind of like you buy to the ecosystem and if you just get everything with their stuff, it just seamlessly intertwines. Then he has his art, 70 million. His music catalog is actually 75 million and he got real estate, 50 million. He was already at 1.5 before. I'm just excited to hear that the brothers doing this thing from Marcy Projects. I've been to Marcy Projects, I've just right across the street partying. Not too long ago when I worked at the Statue of Liberty, I was at a rooftop of a building and we looking at Marcy projects across the street. Beautiful times. In fact, I woke up on the train that night. I, I don't know, I don't think I was in a Bronx somewhere and I ended up just going home after that. But that's another topic.

Well, you surely showed us this area.

Marcy. Yeah, Marcy is in the stuy that's, but see I took you to like the most like the the Monumental stuff. That's just like some, you know, neighborhood stuff. But we'll get to that at some point as we continue to visit. But what does that say to you being at your age, young age in high school? Like when I was in high school, I ain't never heard of nobody worth no billion. Not even a billion dollars. Not even, not no black person. I don't even think Oprah was at a billion when I was in high school. She wasn't. So now you in high school and you got somebody that's worth 2.5 billion, what does that, what does, what does that picture for you? What does that say to you? How? Like just what does that, what do you think about that?

Two things. One

From the projects too. Mm. Pissy hallways. Pissy elevators. <Laugh> elevators. Yeah.

The hood show. It tells me two things. One, it's amazing to see a black guy do that. That tells me anything's possible. Second, this tells me if Jay-Z could do it, so can the other rappers of my generation, like Lil D, little Uzi, king Vaughn, I'm sorry he's dead. All the rappers. Because I feel like if they weren't so invested to the jewelry and they would to get onto like the investing, like buying some land, real estate property. Quit wearing all the jewelry cuz it's making you look rich instead of being rich. I feel like if they get onto the investment properties, I feel like they could catch up to Jay-Z one day and change the spinning habits.

Yeah, that's, that's the future financial advisor who has a lot of good knowledge in that. And he's starting out early, so that's really, really good. In fact, he has a financial jewel every podcast episode. So y'all stay tuned for those each episode where he breaks down some financial knowledge for you. And that's just how that goes. But shout to Jay-Z, peace of God, you already know what it is. We love you Jay. We we love you. Hove <laugh>. I'm a big Hove fan. I don't care. 2.5 Billy. So now I gotta go for 3.5 Billy and that's just what it is.

Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> <laugh>. I'm Latoya.

And I'm Darnell.

And this is the Medlock Show. Show.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So our, our last topic for the night is something that I ain't want to, I ain't want to go here, end it here. You know what I'm saying? But it's like it's real. It happened. It's official. We had a nuclear leak, a nuclear plant leaked. Like she noble the movie, she noble something similar. It happened in Michigan, guys. I don't know if it's been mainstream news, but we have to put the people on about it because this is what we do on our platform and it is just, it, it is what it is. You know what I'm saying? We don't sugarcoat nothing. We just, we just going keep it a be, you know what I'm saying? So what happened was there was a leak mm-hmm. <Affirmative> and

And Lake Michigan,

They, they, the thing about it is they didn't even put nobody on until like after, you know what I'm saying? Mm-Hmm.

<Affirmative>.

It's, it's crazy. It's, it's, it's, it happened after the fact and I just feel like they should have let the people know that this took place. And I just feel like once again, you know, government definitely don't wanna scare the people. They definitely don't want, you know, have people wildling out. But we have to keep it real. They, they have to not cause a mass panic mm-hmm. <Affirmative>, but at the end of the day, they, they be doing some foul shit. You know what I'm saying? And I feel like right now if we drinking this water and they got some shit in it that, you know, Texas ain't tell us about and then I grow an extra arm or something. Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>, I don't feel some type of way mm-hmm. <Affirmative>. But when it comes to the government, like if you was the government right, how would you handle that? Like a nuclear leak, right? So they hit you up, you the president on having it like, yo, we got a nuclear leak. It's real, got into the water. You know what I'm saying? Would you notify the people or would you wait like they did? Would you not ever say anything? How would you handle that?

If I was the government, I would, first of all, if I was the government, I would say no more nuclear stuff because nuclear weapons, that stuff would causes destruction, chaos. Cuz you see what happens to Japan, they got bombed by the nuclear bomb. But if I was in that situation, I would've definitely told the people even if it caused a panic attack, I at least gotta let them know. Cause if I'm really the government, I should really care for the people in America.

Well this, the, the thing is it says that there was a two month oil you leaking into two month oil. You leak from the nuclear plant. All you leaking from the nuclear plant into Lake Michigan mm-hmm. <Affirmative>, right For two months. You dig what I'm saying? It leaked all you into Lake Michigan for two whole months. They ain't say nothing.

Mm-Hmm. <affirmative>.

And that's 2000 gallons of oil leaked into the lake. And a retroactive examination of system oil level leads, plant personnel to believe that the leak may have been going on since about October 25th is what the article says.

October 25th of 22.

Of 2022.

So that's longer than two months.

Hey. Hey. Now,

So the thing is, it's sad because when things happen like this, people should be informed. But I think it's a, there has to be a better way of them inform me to where of course people, either way it goes, they're gonna still panic or freak out about it. But I feel like you still have to at least inform something that is going on instead of just not seeing anything at all where people is just what you call it just sitting here living life normal and not knowing that there's something going on or there's something in the water and people's drinking water and swimming, doing whatever they're doing and not being informed. So I think that the government need to find a better way of at least informing people when something is going on.

Spoken like a, a true government official sound like a a a fake ass Kamala Harris in the Macon <laugh>, shout out to Toyota Boyer 2026. We gone for the office. Y'all, it's official. Tell that nigga Trump, we, we willing to run with him if his bag is right.

I'm good. Thank you.

You know what I'm saying? <Laugh>, shout out to Trump. I know a lot of people hate me when I say that I don't give a damn who wins, but I do feel in the current climate, if I had to judge how I feel and what's going on around me versus what it was when he was in shit was a lot more better. We wasn't giving billions of dollars to no damn Ukraine and nobody else if we damn sure had lower gas prices. So therefore, in my opinion, shout out to Trump and I don't give a damn what nobody say about it.

<Laugh>.

I don't give a damn, I don't think Trump is in

Jail, did they?

I think they

Say he's gonna arrest arrest him and he, he

Said it himself. But I think that was the pictures I seen, they said it was a AI generated so mm-hmm <affirmative> shout to artificial intelligence. But cheer man, listen guys, we love to be with you for hours and hours and hours, but all good things must come to an end. Mm-Hmm.

<Affirmative>,

Every, every week we coming to you, we stand consistent and we want to make sure that we bring y'all interesting things and bring you a millennial couple's perspective, a black millennials couple of perspective, a black family's perspective in America about a lot of these headlines and celebrity news and us news and world news. And also we gonna sprinkle financial, financial and investing topics in as well because we just want to have a good balance of shenanigans with real life stuff relationship stuff. Actually this, there was something that happened recently, which is gonna cause a uproar. Honey buns. You, you, you, you let the people know what happened with, with, with, with your girl. What happened with

Na

What's, what's what's

It was really horrible. And don't, let's try that again.

<Laugh>.

Y'all hate him. Y'all hate you. In fact, my favorite song, I could honestly say my most favorite song would have to be, if It Ain't My Goodies, then it'd have to be the one with ludicrous.

Oh yeah.

Is it the he love it when I he love it when I, I'm

Trying to think, I think he was in that song too. He they did a couple songs.

Oh yeah, he, yeah, they from the Georgia together. Yeah.

Oh some I think it was called. Oh some, something like that. But anyways,

So talk about it. Talk about it when you talk about it.

She had wore a her see-through dress to the Oscars. But this, they said, everybody said it was the after party. So some, apparently the theme of the after party was barely there or something like that. Okay. And so that's why she was dressed the way she was dressed.

So she went with a theme. She

Did dress to the theme cuz they did show more people that were dressed in that same manner. But still, it just, I don't know. I, the look, I'm, I looked at her, her spouse face and he just didn't look like he was, but sometimes he do look like that. But he just didn't look like he was too happy about it in my personal opinion. And I could be wrong, but I feel like, I don't know, once you get to a certain level in life, I think you should tone down certain things that you do as a woman anyways. But that's my opinion.

Did you see the Ciara dress with the looking like you could see her whole body butt naked? Pretty much. And Russell Wilson was standing with her, took taking a picture with his face looking like, like he was just like not entertained by it, not feeling it. Did you see it?

I did see that. I saw it on social media, Instagram.

Oh, so what what, what did you think?

I said, dang Russell Wilson, you got your wife looking like this <laugh>. And if that would've been my girlfriend or wife, I, I would've said, nah, I can't approve of this cause I don't want people to look at you, your body like that. And after I would've said either we not going or you going to change, that's final.

Yeah. That's, that's, that's my boy. That's my boy that's, see they, they're all black fathers out there, ladies and gentlemen who teach they kids mm-hmm. <Affirmative> and train them and raise them with manners and respect for they wives. Right. And I agree with both of y'all. I just couldn't do it. I don't want another man being able to see my wife mm-hmm. <Affirmative> in that manner. And I just also look at it from perspective of, you know, we gotta respect ourselves to the point where when our children grow up mm-hmm. <Affirmative>, they don't want to look at old stuff of, you know, my parents out there and my mom was out there like, damn mom. Like, you know how many eyeballs was on you that day? Like I don't care what damn, how famous she was, that just was not it.

Right. And then you gotta think about it too. Your kids, as they get older, they, when their friends start googling like, okay, who's their parents or blah blah blah or, and they, you know, some of 'em when they're young they don't understand like the status or the, the celebrity of their parents. So they Google and then these pictures pop up and I feel like when you're married, like I understand they, these people cuz some people say, oh well she's an entertainer and whatnot and that's cool and fine. But I feel like a lot of stuff she was, she's doing, in my personal opinion now she's revealing more than she was before she even got married. Because if you keep in mind she was still covered like a lot of her videos, even when she did the song ride, she wasn't half naked when she did the song.
She was like in shorts and t-shirt or tank top or something like that. She wasn't like, now I feel like that she got married. Now I feel like she's just doing extra. Like now she's starting to do all the twerking videos cuz everybody else is doing twerking videos. Now she's wearing everything where she's just revealing her body more. And I, I like Ciara, I'm a huge Ciara fan but I feel like there's like, you just have to just tone it down. You marry, you already got the man, you ain't gotta do all the extraness. There's no need to please other people cuz you have, you have a man by your side. So now it's time to do focus on other things. Don't use your body to continue to try to promote whatever you're trying to promote. Cuz there's no need. You got the man that you wanted and you know, just be a little bit classy with it, you know?

Yeah. In my opinion I seen on, on, on social media, there was people that was like you know, y'all trying to police women's bodies and da da da da. And I'm just like, there's really some women out there who feel like, so like vehemently like y'all hating and why you worried about people bodies is that if, if that is that your wife, that's not your wife, so why do you care to? And I just personally feel like, you know,

So, so

Those might be some, those might be some type of women that might have some type of like they got this thing where they want to kind of like go aga like rebel or go against the system or like I want to be free and being free as equated with showing my ass my breasts and being free. That's real freedom. And I just feel like that's not showing myself naked. It's not true freedom. I mean it's freedom for yourself to just be free and naked. But it's also like if you was on a, a beach where they had everybody knew, okay, everybody's free in that city going to an awards show mm-hmm <affirmative> no matter what the theme is and, and and going there like that, like you say you got kids and family and all that stuff.

Mm-Hmm. <affirmative> because she got two boys.

Right. And they like damn. Mm-Hmm <affirmative>, I saw my mother naked and the world saw my mother naked too pretty

Much.

Yeah. So it's nothing to have sacred. Mm-Hmm <affirmative> because everybody know what her ass look like. Yeah. Everybody know it's a rap.

Yeah. And then you know those females who do be hollering that whole, you know, oh I let women's bodies or whatever, that's cool and all you can holler that but then you can't get mad too when guys start talking and saying what they saying cuz it's almost like a contradiction. We complain about guys

Back to that sexual harassment.

Right. So we complain about guys not harassing us and we wearing yes you wanna wear what you wanna wear. That's true and all, but you also gotta be mindful of what you wear because when you wear certain things, you're looking for attention. You're gonna get that attention when you showing half your stuff, people are gonna look, people are gonna stare, people are gonna say stuff. So you can't sit here and say, well I wanna be able to wear what I wanna wear and then wear ridiculous stuff that people are gonna be looking or saying something to you about and guys are gonna make comments and stuff about. But then yet turn around and say, oh well you're harassing me or this and that. It just, you, you just have to choose one or the other. You can't have both

This lifetime, the chosen one. You are now tune into the Medlock podcast Lee.
